Behind the Projects: My Journey

As an engineering student at IPSA, I firmly believe that the best engineering relies as much on technical expertise as it does on the human element. Here, I’d like to share my background, my commitments, and what drives me every day to turn ideas into real solutions. My immediate goal is to channel this energy into an industrial project as part of an internship.

Why Engineering?

While my journey began with a keen interest in astrophysics, my studies at IPSA quickly led me to discover my true calling: applied engineering.

I combine pure theory with the practical applications of mechanics and aerodynamics.

Today, my goal is clear: to design, model, and optimize the performance of complex systems.

This pragmatic approach naturally leads me to pursue highly demanding sectors, such as the development of fighter jets, satellites, and Formula 1 cars.

Engineering is also about teamwork and music

Beyond equations and coding, I am fully involved in community organizations. As Vice President and Communications Director of the IPSA sailing club (VOILIP'S)—having previously served as treasurer—I have developed my skills in project management, taking on leadership roles, and budget management.

These experiences have strengthened my team spirit and my ability to adapt to the unexpected.

At the same time, playing the piano instills in me a valuable sense of discipline in my daily life and fuels my creativity—assets that I readily apply to engineering. In fact, I have participated in several competitions, including the 25th Malestroit Regional Competition in Brittany, where I achieved a 97% success rate and received special recognition from the jury.

Extreme Performance Optimization and Sustainable Innovation

What excites me most is optimizing extreme performance. I’m passionate about designing in CATIA and analyzing fluid flow in STAR CCM+, and my dream is to apply these skills in highly demanding sectors such as aerospace.

I’m also deeply committed to sustainable innovation, with a keen interest in disruptive technologies like the Open Rotor and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).

My personal passions—from the fluid dynamics of sailing to the precision of piano playing—come together to shape a unique engineering profile that combines technical expertise, creativity, and a strong team spirit.

Academic Exchange at the University of Sherbrooke

I am currently participating in a 6-month academic exchange program at the University of Sherbrooke in Canada, where I am delving deeper into key areas of mechanical and aerospace engineering: eco-design, strength of materials, aircraft turbulence, and financial analysis.

This immersion in North America also provides an opportunity to study the local industry and interact directly with professionals in the field.

University Degree in Astrophysics - PSL University

Alongside my engineering program at IPSA, I am pursuing the “Lumières sur l’Univers” university diploma at PSL University and the Paris Observatory.

Specializing in the “Forces and Relativity” track, this prestigious program allows me to delve deeper into astrophysics—a field that has always fascinated me—while strengthening my theoretical rigor in understanding the fundamental laws of the universe.

“A well-rounded engineer: technical, pragmatic, and dedicated.”

Whether it’s managing overseas sea voyages (Croatia, Ibiza) with my sailing club or earning an “excellence” rating in a piano competition, I maintain a balanced approach that combines teamwork with individual discipline. These experiences demonstrate my ability to manage complex logistics, adapt to the unexpected, and persevere under pressure to achieve ambitious goals. It is this unique combination of sharp technical skills and strong soft skills that makes me an engineer ready to take on any challenge, including a fixed-term contract in the aerospace, defense, or motorsports industries.
